Botox and Filler

• If possible, come to your appointment with a freshly cleaned face.

• Avoid antiplatelets and anticoagulants if medically able. Always check with your doctor about what you can safely stop taking.

• Alcohol contributes to systemic inflammation; avoid alcohol 24 hours prior to treatment.

• Topical numbing cream can be applied to provide a comfortable and pleasurable experience.

• Each person is different and may require more or less botox/filler.

• It is important to know that every appointment will get a full face assessment.

• After your botox/filler settles, if you want additional enhancement you are able to do so.

Botox 

• Do not lie down for at least 2 hours after your procedure. 

• Do not apply heat to your face, and avoid activities that cause facial flushing for 24 hours.

• Do not massage the areas on the day of treatment. Avoid strenuous activity for 24 hours to minimize bruising. 

• Avoid facials, peels, etc.. for 24 hours. Treated muscles typically show a partial reduction in function 2-3 days after treatment, but it can take around 2 weeks for the Botox to fully settle.

Fillers

• Avoid activities that can cause facial flushing, such as tanning, exercise, alcohol consumption, and heat application. 

• Acetaminophen or Tylenol may be taken if discomfort occurs. 

• If swelling occurs, elevate your head overnight and not massage dermal filler, as this can cause migration.

Skinvive
